There are a number of important contributors to the project "New Media and the Informed Citizen" that need to be acknowledged. Without their assistance and support, the task at hand would be all the more difficult.

Of course, we must thank particularly the Australia-Malaysia Institute and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade for providing the initial funding and inspiring our team to pursue this topic.

Griffith University has been most helpful in providing the venue for the "New Media and the Informed Citizen" Symposium at the Ian Hanger Recital Hall, Queensland Conservatorium of Music, South Brisbane, as well as other logistical support, including photography and filming during the day. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences has been instrumental in introducing the project within the university and providing guidance and feedback on the project. In particular we must thank Dr Cathy Jenkins, Deputy Dean (Learning and Teaching) for her input, interest and support for the project and the symposium.

Air Asia X has demonstrated their interest and support for the project by providing flights for our international guests and for the team to conduct its interviews in Malaysia.

Sinister Art has been most helpful in providing graphic design work and website advice.

Mark Dass of Definitive Solutions Network, the fourth member of the interview team, provided sound work during all the interviews conducted in Malaysia, and also pitched in whenever he could to lighten the load on the project team.
