Paradigm Infinitum CEO Mr Kiong Chan caught up with Ms Penny Low MP, Member for Pasir Ris-Pungol in the Singaporean Parliament, and Mr Chu Chong Wei, director of a local company on a recent trip to Singapore. The three discussed issues relating to the tourism and hospitality industry, the arts and social development issues. At the meeting, Mr Chan praised the Singapore government, saying that Singapore owes its spectacular economic success and social development largely to a good, honest, caring and hard-working government. He also commended Singapore on its excellent track record in public safety. Mr Chan said “In today’s global environment, security against terror is something that no nation can take for granted. Security is the product of high quality analysis of the environment, development of appropriate and proactive strategies to deal with threats, the strengthening of any identified weaknesses, decisive and courageous leadership at all levels, and persistence in following through decisions that are made. The Singapore government has done a tremendous job in keeping Singapore safe. The degree of preparedness in Singapore should set a benchmark for other nations”. |
