Paradigm Infinitum Executives and AMBCQ Excos visit

counterparts in Kuala Lumpur

15 April 2007

On a recent visit to Kuala Lumpur, Paradigm Infinitum executives and Australia Malaysia Business Council (Qld) exco members Shona Leppänen-Gibson and Wai Kiong Chan visited their counterparts in Kuala Lumpur. At a lunch organised by Malaysia Australia Business Council exco Ms Christine Huang, Shona and Kiong met with MABC excos Datuk Jeffrey Ng and Mr Lee Howard.

According to AMBCQ Vice-President Ms Leppänen-Gibson, “We discussed several issues related to business, politics and the economy with our Malaysian counterparts. It was a very amicable meeting and we greatly appreciated the hospitality of the Malaysia Australia Business Council.”

Ms Leppänen-Gibson commented on the importance of trade between the two countries, saying “ Malaysia is Australia’s ninth largest trading partner, and the second largest in ASEAN. Two-way trade between Australia and Malaysia is worth more than $12 billion. The negotiations on a bilateral Free Trade Agreement between Malaysia and Australia which began in 2005 will help to ensure that trade between the two countries continues to grow at a healthy pace, especially once the FTA is ratified”.
