Year of the Tiger 2010 International Business Fundraiser

20 January 2010

Paradigm Infinitum is proud to announce its Chinese New Year Fundraiser, to be held at Landmark Restaurant, Sunnybank. All profits raised at the Paradigm Infinitum Chinese New Year International Business Ball and Fundraiser will go towards Station Officer David Galvin, a Queensland Fire and Rescue officer who sustained serious spinal injuries in an accident recently.

“Dave was only on our LEAD Programme course in September 2009 and he was a great student, often staying back to discuss some of the key concepts with the facilitators. We were shocked and devastated when we heard of his accident, as were many of his colleagues. We knew that we had to do something to help him and his family,” said Paradigm Infinitum CEO Kiong Chan.

The event will help to usher in the Year of the Tiger, and will feature prominent speakers, and an expert discussion panel including Paradigm Infinitum Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) visiting fellow Prof. Dr. Gerhard Peters from Germany, a ten-course Chinese banquet, some beverages, and an after-dinner dance.

The Ball will be held at the renowned Landmark Restaurant on Friday 26 February. Tickets are $65 per person, or $600 for a table of ten. Last year’s inaugural event (called the Flood and Fire Fundraiser Dinner) (held in conjunction with a community organisation that asked to join in) attracted 400 people and helped to raise almost $20,000 that went to the Queensland Premier’s Disaster Relief Fund and the Victoria Bushfire Fund.
