Paradigm Infinitum CEO Co-Chairs Business Roundtable

with Malaysian Trade Minister

On the 1st of October 2010, the Malaysian Minister for International Trade and Investment, Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohd visisted Brisbane for a Business Roundtable with potential investors in key target industries. Paradigm Infinitum CEO and Senior Consultant, Kiong Chan, was invited to co-chair the Roundtable with the Minister. As the first official visit by the current Minister to Brisbane, it was a greatly anticipated occasion. The meeting was attended by twenty Australian businesses, and included green technology companies, medical services, aviation firms, universities, and call centres, among others.

"The Minister appeared very happy and volunteered to stay much longer than he originally intended.  During the meeting, the Minister said that he was delighted with Kiong Chan ’s explanations on why Malaysia was THE place to go for business and investment, and asked for my notes, which I later provided to him via his Senior Private Secretary," said Kiong.

"I was also very surprised and greatly honoured to be invited for a second private meeting and tea with the Minister after the conclusion of the Roundtable Meeting, which his aides informed me was not the usual practice."

"Due credit must go to MIDA, MITI, Matrade and AMBC National, and in particular to our close friends and colleagues in MIDA - Jaswant and Khairuddin, for all the work that has been done," Kiong said.  

Paradigm Infinitum has a strong relationship and affinity with the AMBCQ. Kiong Chan, Paradigm Infinitum CEO and Senior Consultant, is the current President, while Shona Leppanen-Gibson, General Manager and Senior Consultant with Paradigm Infinitum, is the Senior Vice-President. In addition, Paradigm Infinitum has run the AMBCQ secretariat as a free service since its reactivation in 2006 and regularly sponsors the AMBCQ's annual Australia-Malaysia Ball.
